Hair Transplantation
Hair loss is a very common condition that nearly 60% of men and 10% of women suffer due to aging, heredity, medical condition or hormonal changes. Hair transplantation is the most common surgery applied to men due to the frequency and psychological importance.
Our heads contain about 100.000 hairs, often more if you have blonde hair. Due to aging, we tend to lose our hair partially and up to 30% or so should be acceptable. When the hair loss exceeds 50%, it is considered hair thinning in a cosmetic perspective. It also creates an avalanche effect and causes hair to get thin even more in thinned areas.
The purpose of hair transplantation is to transfer new hair follicles into bald or thinned areas including eye brows. The transplanted hair follicles are harvested from the back or sides of the head and includes 1-4 hairs.
